Tarot de Besançon
Tarot glossary
Tarot de Besançon is a historical branch of the Marseille-pattern family. It keeps the same seventy-eight-card structure but replaces La Papesse and Le Pape with the classical gods Juno and Jupiter. The Lequart images in the app belong to this branch. Besançon therefore names a visual and regional pattern, not an entirely different card game or modern occult system.
