Deck

A tarot deck holds 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana in four suits of fourteen. Some art decks add an extra card, a blank or a title card, and older or regional decks differ, such as the 97-card Minchiate. The word pack means the same thing and is more common in British English and in card-game history. Most English-language readers learn on a Rider–Waite–Smith deck or one drawn after it, while French readers often use the Tarot de Marseille. Oracle decks are also sold as decks but follow no fixed structure. See how to choose a tarot deck.
