Reading

A reading is one session of shuffling, drawing and interpreting cards in answer to a question or a theme. It can be a single card drawn in the morning or a spread of ten or more laid out for a large question. Most readings follow the same steps: frame the question, shuffle, lay the cards in a spread, read each card in its position, then read the cards together. A good reading shows where a situation stands, where it is heading and what you can do about it. The word is also used for the interpretation itself, as in a reading of the cards.
